[Highland Park] Re: Atlas Dreams Languages, LLC
Dear Highland Park community, My name is Zineb Outnouna. I am the CEO of Atlas Dreams Languages, LLC and one of the instructors there. Recently, Ms. Anna Napier, a person whom I have never met, talked to, or communicated with, has made it her primary job to attack Atlas Dreams Languages, LLC and myself in particular. She communicated with you via this website to warn you about doing business with my company. I do understand that people are entitled to their own opinions; however, when false comments have been advertised with the sole purpose to hurt me and cause my business harm, I do feel the need to reply. I would like to start by saying that not everything that “Ms. Napier” has stated is false; certain statements are completely true. For example Atlas Dreams Languages, LLC is NOT an accredited learning institution. An accredited institution is defined as “one that is authorized or accepted by the state to fulfill the state’s educational requirement for initial teaching licensure or school counseling licensure.” We are not accredited, we have never been accredited and it is not in our plans to become accredited. We are a Limited Liability Corporation and have always advertised as so from our first foundation. We do not issue any certificates, licenses, or credits that could be transferred to any educational institution. We provide tutoring services. Our clients fall into two major categories: clients who are taking or planning to take the language in college and would like some support system and clients who enjoy traveling and, or are curious about the language and would like to learn it without the traditional classroom setting. “Ms. Napier” has also stated that I don’t have a teaching degree and after a little digging she discovered that my major was in Tourism. “Ms. Napier” did not have to do any digging at all!! The information is posted on my website and LinkedIn profile. In neither places, nor in any others, I have claimed to hold a teaching degree or attempted to hide my major; the information is there for everyone to read. This is the extent of the truth in “Ms. Napier” rant. The rest is nothing but unfounded personal attacks. I will not give my personal life story on this site, as I have respect for your time, but you are welcome to visit my website and read about me and the rest of the instructors. In terms of calling myself a CEO even though I don’t answer to a board!! This is very laughable!!! As it was stated before Atlas Dreams Languages, LLC is an LLC!! It does not require a Board of Directors!! I created it and I manage it so I am the Executive Chief Officer!!! (LLCs have members and officers; typically these are the terms used rather than owner) This is not the only site Ms. Napier has attempted to ruin the reputation of this company. She posted comments on Linkedin questioning my methods of instructions and went as far as questioning the content of the lessons. Few of my students were very appalled that they decided to reply. I have included in this communication the exchange that took place between “A.Napier” and my students. Please read, as it will open your eyes not only to the ridiculous arguments made, but also to the fact that I am a competent person; the continual progress that my students make inspire me every day. Their love and support is overwhelming particularly when I read what they wrote. http://www.linkedin.com/groups/Introduction-Arabic-workshops-2160455.S.87319756?qid=6cf6a88b-4e57-4b56-b67e-e4fe120b0edc&trk=group_most_popular-0-b-ttl&goback=%2Egmp_2160455 I am a very hard-working person, I take my job very seriously, I believe so much in my abilities that I resigned from the University of Pittsburgh to devote my time to my passion: teaching Arabic and French. I am excellent at it and determined to grow this company to reach the dreams I have for it. I have already accomplished plenty. In less than two years of being incorporated, I was one of 2011 40 under 40 winners, and was nominated this year for CORO MLK Leadership Award. Ms. Napier, you were never a client of mine; you heard it loud and clear from my current and former clients that they very much enjoy our sessions and they are advancing at their own pace; would you please contact me if you have a concern instead of spreading such nasty comments; If the company had done you wrong (and I don’t know how since we have never met), please give us a chance to make it right! I asked each one of clients if they had talked to you, they all declined and I believe them because they are STILL my clients, if they are not learning, they will not be paying me; they can stop the lessons anytime they feel like it. So far NONE of them did, as a matter of fact today; we have two more clients who were referred by current clients. Dear residents, Thank you for taking the time to read my reply. I fought hard with myself about whether this person is worth answering to or not. I made a decision to move forward with the answer because Atlas Dreams Languages, LLC is my business and the only source of income I have. I don’t want someone who has a personal problem with me (as it seems to be the case) prevent me from making a living. I am looking forward to getting to know as many of you as possible. I am always at Tazza D’oro teaching your neighbors and friends. Please say hi if you can; I am the short one with the long curly hair J Thank you Zineb Outnouna www.atlasdreamslanguages.com Zineb Outnouna C.E.O 412-537-1525 zineb@atlasdreamslanguages.com www.atlasdreamslanguages.com "Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work."
