Have any of you fine folks ever taken legal action against a contractor? It seems that my 3 year old roof is so poorly done that the new contractors I asked to bid on a leak and some other various problems are turning the job down because they do not want to inherit the problems they see coming. A roofer that came highly recommended from this list danced around the idea of what sounded to me like "rip it off and start over". Also, some items that are clearly noted in the original contract were not done at all. Requesting the original roofer to make repairs is not an option; they returned 3 times and still could not get it right. In the end, they behaved very poorly (ie. angry and violent) and I don't want them back on my property, nevermind my roof. I'm not sure how to proceed...do I need an attorney? If so, what type of attorney? Any advice is greatly appreciated!
