Hi Neighbors, My last post to this list about dogs at the Humane Society who needed a bit of special promotion was a success - one of them was adopted as a direct result! So I thought it couldn't hurt to try again with two more dogs who have stolen my heart and just might steal yours too! The first is Harvey. You can read about him here: http://www.petharbor.com/pet.asp?uaid=WPHS.A205868 I think Harvey often gets overlooked at the shelter because he's just so calm and quiet. He really is a perfect gentleman; I think he would be such a great family dog. He is large but he has such great manners and walks so well on a leash that he doesn't have nearly as much "presence" (if you know what I mean) as many dogs half his size. His write up says something about being an escape artist and jumping fences - that may be true, but it sure doesn't sound like the Harvey I know! Maybe he was just trying to escape a bad situation! The Harvey that I've seen can get comfortable anywhere and is super sweet and affectionate. Don't let his age put you off - he's not old, just mature. Which can be a great thing! Oh and the picture in his write up does not do him justice! He is a very handsome dog. The second is Nyx. You can read about her here: http://www.petharbor.com/pet.asp?uaid=WPHS.A205776 Nyx is my current favorite. She is absolutely gorgeous and a total cuddlebug. I would sit in her cage and snuggle with her all day if I could. She is wonderful, and very smart. I'm not even going to get into the pit bull thing - I have one and they are amazing dogs and that's all I'm gonna say about it! Anyway, Nyx seems to be hanging in there but every dog has a breaking point with that place and I don't want to see her reach hers. Let's get her into a home where she can get endless pets and cuddles like she deserves. Thanks neighbors - please spread the word to anyone you know who may be thinking about getting a dog! Emily
