Looking for Italian speaking nurse aide/assistant for child
Hello All I am helping a family who has moved here from Italy so that their daughter can receive a multivisceral organ transplant here. They need a caregiver (or two) who would be able to care for her preferably over the long haul because they are likely to be here well over a year. Ideally, the person would speak italian or spanish. However, if you are someone or know someone who is excellent with caring for children with medical problems, they will consider an English speaking candidate. They are living near Chatham College. The hours would be 730 am to 1230 then again 4 pm to 8pm so this could be one or two caregivers. She also would consider providing room and board for an interested person. Early on, activities would mostly include getting to know the child and mother, observing how to care for her, keeping her room like a hospital room, accompanying girl to doctors appointments and taking her on outings as tolerated. The child currently has three stomas with ostomy appliances that would require care after learning the specifics, and also will require help with bathing, dressing and eating. Candidate must be a patient person with children. Compensation would be by a 1099 and the mother would like to discuss it with the individual. Please reach out ASAP if you can help or have leads for where to look. Best regards, Renee
