Hi neighbors, Thanks for all of the responses! For a neighborhood tailor, there were multiple, multiple positive endorsements for Augie, the tailor on Bryant Street. Some other suggestions include Rocky the Tailor on Liberty Ave in Bloomfield, and for bridesmaid dresses in particular, Clarissa's on the Southside, or the New Oakland Tailor on Meyran Avenue in Oakland. So allow plenty of time.412-432-329917th St. and East Carson St I had a dress suit taken in / sleeves shortened, other garments altered ... fair price, timely, good job by "Rocky the Tailor" at 5105 Liberty Avenue at Winebiddle (I think)... this side of Shadyside Honda... 412-682-5265 I don't have a recommendation in Highland Park, but I would highly recommend the New Oakland Tailor in Oakland on Meyran Avenue. The gentleman there is extremely talented and does all kinds of work -- including an enormous amount of alterations to a friend's bridesmaid dress. The wrong size was ordered, and she needed it to be taken in literally three sizes -- and it was beautiful. There was no way of knowing it wasn't the original dress from the store!
