[Highland Park] summer job opportunity
Earthen Vessels Outreach, a faith-based nonprofit located in Bloomfield/Friendship, is recruiting 10-12 college and high school interns to run our Summer Day Camp 2012, 6/8/2012 to 8/3/2012. This camp will run for 6 weeks, from 8:30am to 3:30pm Monday to Friday. Children ages 6 - 14 years participate in this camp. Summer interns will have the opportunity to: Live in the inner city of Pittsburgh Be involved in a cross-cultural ministry Reach out to the young people of the area Live and grow in community for six weeks, serving and being served Share the Good News of Jesus Christ with children and youth. Urban ministry and church working with at-risk children and families in a summer camp position in Pittsburgh teaching K-8th grade children M-F 8:30-3:30 for 6 weeks. Recreation is offered in the afternoon. Work with same children for 6 weeks. Teach Bible, math and reading. Participate in crafts and recreational activities. Live in Christian community with 10 other interns for the entire summer. Requirements High school or college age. Must love children and love Jesus. Interns will live in community in a 12-bedroom house with separate sleeping areas for guys and girls. Kitchen and living space are available.
