*Artist Statement:*

Creating art with a political purpose is an evolution for me, an evolution of choice and mark making to tell a story, my version of a story that is unfolding at the present. I hope this will act as a record for my family and me, and also for future families and generations. My hope that these painting illustrate the complexity and severity of the situation at hand but also show hope … this I feel, is accomplished by a color palette that is Impressionistic in nature.
