If You're Interested in International Peace and Have Kids, Get to Know CISV
CISV is an international children's and youth organization that educates and inspires action for a more just and peaceful world by fostering friendships with kids from around the world. One of my kids participated in a CISV program this past summer in Mexico and had an incredible time. There were delegations from nine countries. If you have kids who are aged 10+ and want to find out more about this incredible organization, I encourage you to come to the annual Pasta Dinner Fundraiser on Sunday October 28 at the Bulgarian Macedonian National Ed & Cultural Center (449 W. 8th Avenue, West Homestead, PA 15120). The international programs that will be available this summer will be announced and you'll have the opportunity to play Bingo for Peace, participate in several raffles (one for two tickets to see Hamilton at the Benedum Center!) and enjoy a dinner of pasta with delicious homemade sauce. And of course, you'll be able to learn more about CISV and meet families who have participated in the program. Cost for new families is only $10/ticket (normally $25 for adults). You can learn more about the dinner and register to attend at https://pittsburgh.cisvusa.org/event/annual-pasta-dinner/. You can also learn more about CISV at https://pittsburgh.cisvusa.org. If you have any questions, please feel free to send me an email. Rob Schwartz
