[Highland Park] This Sunday at St. Andrew's:
At St. Andrew's Church, 5801 Hampton Street, Highland Park 10 a.m. "Coffee and Conversation" between the services, in Brooks Hall. St. Andreans Marilyn Evert and Al Mann, two of the authors of the just-released "Pittsburgh's East Liberty Valley" (see below), will be our featured presenters at Coffee and Conversation this Sunday, January 20. Copies of the book will be available for purchase (and authorial inscription!) Hope to see you there. <<The long-awaited book Pittsburgh's East Liberty Valley has been issued by Arcadia Publishing and will be available in about a week. It was written by members of the East End/East Liberty Historical Society, a non-profit organization. The book includes major contributions from many area residents, who generously loaned us images and provided significant editorial help. You will want to have copies to be reminded of the great history and future potential of our area, as well as rare photographs of your favorite neighborhood landmarks, some gone and some still standing. You may also want copies to send to family members and friends who no longer live here but who enjoy keeping in touch.>>
I should have mentioned that copies of "Pittsburgh's East Liberty Valley" will sell for $20 each, proceeds benefiting the East End/East Liberty Historical Association. B
