Hi neighbors, We're new to HPark. Having moved from L.A. we're adjusting to living in frozen world (though our hearts are melting as Pittsburgh, and our neighborhood, reveal their treasures). We're looking for the following: - A local chiropractor that takes Blue Cross. - A local accupuncturist and/or herbalist. - A progressive pediatrician who supports parents who elect not to immunize. - A local play group for our 2-1/2 year old daughter. - A group of progressive/leftist/artist/green parents who socialize with kids. - A babysitter for evenings 8-11 pm ($7/hour). - Modern furniture that's in good shape...IKEA is fine. We don't want antiques unless they're modern '60s stuff. We sold much of our big stuff in L.A. Especially seeking: (1) a narrow table to add a work surface to our kitchen (2) a portable dishwasher (3) An entertainment unit for TV, stereo, etc. (4) Desks (5) Large throw pillows. (6) A bean bag chair (7) Lamps of various kinds. (8) Coffee tables. (9) Book shelves. (10) A storage cabinet or filing cabinet for an office. (11) Area rugs if not Persian style. (12) A Thomas the Train train set with play table (we've priced the full set new and are looking to get it used/discounted). (13) Leggo blocks (14) Kid's clothing, girl, age 3. (15) A keyboard, but higher end...the kind that sound like real pianos but look like casios. (16) Picture frames, preferably with matting. (17) An artist's easel, wood. (18) A DVD player.
