An arrest warrant has been issued for Aggravated Assault and Attempted Murder. We believe Mr. Perry entered an apartment building in the 5500 block of Jackson Street when he was confronted by Blackwell. We believe that Blackwell was armed with a handgun and he attempted to rob Mr. Perry of his cash. They struggled over the gun and Mr. Perry began to run out of the building when he was shot twice in the back. Mr. Perry collapsed on the sidewalk while Blackwell fled the scene. Mr. Perry has survived his injuries. Blackwell is described as a black male, 21 years old, 6'1" tall weighing 160 lbs. He is also known by the nickname "ASeed." Blackwell is known to frequent the Penn Hills and East End areas, and he is considered armed and dangerous.
