Dear neighbors, While I am so grateful to live in our wonderful neighborhood, my day job is working with those who are experiencing homelessness and housing instability. Community Human Services is collecting winter items to provide for folks who are living on the streets. If you have any of the below items to donate we would be so happy to receive them for our community and clients in need. While we do accept these at our offices in the Strip District you are welcome to shoot me an e-mail and I'm happy to do a Highland Park pick-up or give you my address and they can be left on my porch. The following are critical needs for the people we serve: - Cold-weather gear (hats, gloves, scarves, face masks, hand-warmers, emergency thermal blankets, chapstick) - Travel-sized toiletries (soap, shampoo, shaving supplies, combs/brushes, toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, nail clippers) - Underclothing (underwear and socks in a variety of men's and women's sizes) We are also accepting donations through our Amazon Wish List <https://www.amazon.com/registry/wishlist/P1IRQHDP0QJB/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_ep_ws_0fO1zbDHYEV3J>. Items purchased through Amazon will be shipped directly to CHS to distribute. We are so grateful for your contributions to help keep the people we serve safe, healthy, and warm http://www.chscorp.org/article/winter-warm-items-needed -- Darrah Bird
