Hello, At last night's HPCC Community Meeting, Commander Vinansky let us know that the shooting range is scheduled for use the following days and times: 2/23 at 8:00 AM 2/25 at 12:00 PM 3/2 at 8:00 AM 2/4 at 12:00 PM 3/11 at 8:00 AM 3/19 at 8:00 AM He noted that each range date should have 6 officers or less, and should be less than 3 hours long. He will be providing an update when he gets the Spring Schedule, and also will request a meeting to share updates on the progress of the range sound study. He said that people can email him with questions and concerns at stephen.vinansky@pittsburghpa.gov. The HPCC is creating a public sound log where people will be able to record when, where, and for how long they hear noise from the firing range. We think this type of record will be useful when we meet with the Public Safety Director and other city officials to help demonstrate how pervasive the noise can be.
