We’re looking for an after school babysitter in Highland Park for a consistent gig throughout the school year. Kids are 4.5 and 7 and attend the same school, but with staggered dismissals (pre-k is about 25 minutes earlier than the rest of the elementary school). Hours are approximately 3:30 to 5:00 (will be exact when pre-k releases its dismissal time) Monday through Friday. The babysitter will pick the kids up at school and bring them to our house (10 minutes walking, 3 minutes driving), give the kids snack and work on homework. I work from home, so I’ll just walk downstairs at 5:00 and send you on your way. We are looking for someone who can and is willing to drive on days when there is inclement weather and potentially take kids to after school activities later in the school year. We have extra carseats. The first day we need is August 29th, and then the schedule will be based on the PPS calendar. This is the perfect gig for a college student - we had two last year who were amazing. Could also work for a stay-at-home parent looking for light work. Your kids are welcome, but we are looking for care in our home in Highland Park and you would have to have enough space in your car for all to travel safely.
