Yes, we also heard what sounded like shots at about 4 a.m. We live at the corner of Jackson and Euclid. We called 911. The police drove by - I saw their cars come by with searchlights - and they didn't see anything. Like you, we didn't hear any car or any footsteps after the shots. We thought as you did that they sounded like a semi-automatic hand gun. When I called the police again a bit later, I asked if anyone else had called, and the police said no one had. We don't know anything more than that. It was very, very frightening. jai P.S. I think it would be a good idea for everyone who hears anything like that to call 911 immediately.
