On Tuesday, September 13 the brand new film ³Fallujah ³ will be shown at 7pm at Tazza d¹Oro on N. Highland Ave. The event is free, and of course everybody is encouraged to attend. Fallujah is the latest film from Brandon Jourdan (Deep Dish TV, NYC Indymedia) and Jacque Soohen (Big Noise Films). It uses never-before seen footage of the violent US assault on the small Iraqi city during November2004. The footage used was shot almost entirely by the Iraqi people and shows a very different perspective of the attack than offered in US media. Fallujah is an ambitious attempt to show the history of a city and its destruction. Brandon Jordan, the producer of this film, recently spent time in Fallujah. The Pittsburgh branch of the Women¹s International League for Peace and Freedom (WILPF), the sponsor of the event, feels privileged to obtain one of the first copies of this very recent footage of events in Iraq, especially Fallujah.
