Celebrating our Roots: Tree Planting, Watershed Walk & Picnic Nov 12 9 am - 2 pm Liberty Green (near new playground behind Target) Join Tree Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy, Negley Run Watershed Task Force, and Larimer Consensus Group in a day or celebration and connection. Open to all. 100 trees will be planted on Negley Run Boulevard in the space that goats cleared out this summer. Those who want to plant some trees can meet at 9 am at Liberty Green, and those who want to tour River Roots and join with others for a picnic lunch can meet at Liberty Green at noon. The tree planting will be RUGGED. Volunteers must wear long pants, close-toed shoes or boots, and weather-appropriate clothing (jackets, gloves). Tree Pittsburgh will provide tools, equipment, and work gloves. Please feel free to bring your work gloves too.
