Thanks, again, neighbors! Your offers of milkweed allowed me to do double duty when walking the dogs this morning. They got exercise, I collected leaves, and all the critters on Farragut were happy. I have all of the caterpillars in a mesh butterfly house so that I can ensure them having access to food. One of the ones I didn't manage to collect formed a chrysalis on my cleome plant. It was astonishing-I saw the little guy hanging in a J formation at around 315; when I looked again at 4:20, this is what I saw! Holy Moley, they are fast. As of now, I have my second caterpillar J in the butterfly house. I expect to see another chrysalis by the time I leave for work. All of this just makes me giggle like a four year old. 😊 Helen -- Helen Blier, Ph.D. <https://maps.google.com/?q=Ph.D.+912+Farragut+St+Pittsburgh,+PA%C2%A0+15206&entry=gmail&source=g> 912 Farragut St <https://maps.google.com/?q=Ph.D.+912+Farragut+St+Pittsburgh,+PA%C2%A0+15206&entry=gmail&source=g> Pittsburgh, PA 15206 <https://maps.google.com/?q=Ph.D.+912+Farragut+St+Pittsburgh,+PA%C2%A0+15206&entry=gmail&source=g>
