Hi Everyone,After ten years of being responsible for the children's events hosted by the Highland Park Community Council, it is time for me to step down and find a replacement. We are unexpectedly moving in August, so I hope someone -- or a group of folks -- will be willing to take over.  Working with the kids has been a wonderful way to meet neighbors and get involved in the community. Helping the kids learn new skills or just do something fun has been really rewarding and is always a highlight of my summer. It was a wonderful way for become part of this fabulous community when we first moved here, so if you are new to Highland Park or Pittsburgh, I can't think of a better way to get to know your neighbors. I will walk you through what events I have done and I have lots of craft supplies to pass on. Our next event if the July 4 parade complete with bike/tricycle/wagon decorating.
