Waldorf School May Fair and Plant Sale-- Saturday 11-4
Tomorrow the Waldorf School of Pittsburgh in Friendship will be holding its annual May Fair celebration. All are welcome! I wanted to highlight the plant sale that I will be hosting at the event. We will have hundreds of hand-started organic seedlings available. They will be sold on a "pay what you wish" basis with a suggested donation of $1 per plant! Offerings will include: vegetables (17 heirloom varieties of tomatoes, sweet and hot peppers, zucchini and other squash, cucumbers, melons, peanuts, artichokes, okra, chard, beans, lettuce, peas, spinach, broccoli, kale, chicory, strawberries), herbs (dill, fennel, parsley, basil, rosemary, mint), flowers (scented stock, butterfly flower, echinacea, nasturtium, anise hyssop, marigold, lavender, snapdragon, sunflower, zinnia, hollyhock, calendula, and mosquito-repelling citronella geranium), houseplants (jade, purple shamrock, coleus, spider plant), and landscape plants (hosta, japanese maple).
