Volunteers will assist with Christmas tree events, cleaning, painting, stained glass restoration, or other tasks depending on weather or construction progress. Monday, November 28, 1pm-8pm Tuesday, November 29, 1 pm-8pm Saturday, December 3, 9 am – 8pm Sunday, December 4, 9 am-8pm Saturday, December 10, 9 am – 8pm Sunday, December 11, 9 am-8pm Saturday, December 17, 9 am – 8pm Sunday, December 18, 9 am-8pm Saturday, January 14, 10 am-2pm, 15 volunteers need to assist with Christmas tree recycling @ Construction Junction. Christmas Tree Sale Starts Monday The Union Project Christmas tree sale will begin Monday, November 28 and continue every day until Christmas. Trees and wreaths will be on sale for $25 and up from 2 pm until 9 pm every day of the week. The tree sale will be located in the Union Project side yard and the proceeds benefit the Union Project. Be sure to check out the artwork in the atrium when you come for your Christmas tree. Handmade artwork from UnWrapped will be available for purchase until Christmas. UnWrapped hosts first Union Hour Union Project’s Grand Opening Celebration continues on Friday, December 2 from 5-7 pm with a Networking Union Hour sponsored by Urban League Young Professionals and PUMP and music by Tangueros De Ley. The event is free and open to the public. Call for volunteers The Pennsylvania Resources Council (PRC), in partnership with the Union Project, Construction Junction, and the City of Pittsburgh, needs the help of volunteers at its Christmas tree collection on SATURDAY, JANUARY 14, 2006 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The event takes place at Construction Junction, 214 N. Lexington Street in the Point Breeze section of Pittsburgh. Volunteers are needed to help unload trees from vehicles and to direct traffic in the parking lot. Everyone helping out can stay warm with free cups of hot cocoa and refreshments! Please consider sharing time on January 14th to help keep unnecessary waste out of the landfills.
