Hello neighbors, We moved to N. St. Clair Street in March, and we are currently finishing up the second renovation in our home - the guest bedroom. We are having guests in December, and would like to have something other than an air mattress for them to sleep on. We are wondering if anyone has a queen-sized mattress (w/ a frame would be great) and/or box spring they would be willing to part w/ for free or for a reasonable price (king or full would probably work as well, actually). We would prefer not to buy a new bed, as it seems a bit wasteful if there's one floating around out there unused. I'm a little hesitant b/c I'm not sure a "used" bed is a great idea, but... Thought I'd give it a try. Please note we are only interested in CLEAN beds. This means it should come from a non-smoking home and be free of pet and/or other odors (we don't have allergies, but just don't want it to have been your dog's favorite place to pee). Also, no history of fleas, lice or bedbugs (not too much to ask, is it?). I understand even the best cared for mattress can be a bit discolored and/or stained, so a little discoloration, etc. is okay, but it should not fit the "gross" category. We can haul it.
