St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, Highland Park, Pittsburgh All Saints Music Festival 2012 Tuesday, November 1, 8 p.m. Lessons and Carols for All Saints It will be an evening of exceptional choral music and meaningful reflection at St. Andrew's, here in the Highland Park neighborhood of Pittsburgh, as the Festival Choir, under the direction of Tom Octave (Director of Choral Music at St. Vincent's College, Latrobe) offers anthems by Parry, Brahms, Stanford, Goss, Faure--and concluding with music from G.F. Handel's Messiah: O Death, Where is Thy Sting? and "But Thanks be to God!" Soloists will include Gabriela Schunn, Head Chorister, Mary Pat Luley, Mezzo-Soprano, and Dr. Oyebade, Tenor. Joseph Tuttle, Organ Scholar Emeritus of St. Andrew's Church, will play the concluding voluntary, Incantation pour un jour saint, by Jean Langlais. With the musical offerings are readings and prayers read by members of the parish and wider community. All are welcome, and the Opening Reception of the Music Festival will follow in the Parish Hall.
