The following message was posted on the Pittsburgh Public Schools website. Please check back in the week ahead for additional updates. www.pghboe.net Please help keep our city's children safe despite the snowy conditions. - - - - - Monday, Feb. 15, 2010: Two-Hour Delay City residents and businesses are urged to get sidewalks cleared this weekend to ensure students arrive safely to school on Monday. The ability of students to commute safely to and from school remains a serious concern, primarily because impassable sidewalks may force students to walk in the streets. Bus stops not located on main thoroughfares may still be impacted by snow on Monday. Parents who have questions about their child's bus stop may contact their transportation carrier or the District's Transportation Office at 412-338-8125. Staff will be available to answer calls on Friday, February 12 from 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and beginning at 6:00 AM on Monday, February 15. PFT Membership Meeting scheduled for Saturday, February 13, 2010, has been rescheduled. The meeting will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2010, at the PFT Building.
