Dear neighbors, My mother is in her 80s and lives alone. She is healthy and happy but agrees it is time to explore next steps like independent living communities or assisted living places where folks can go even before they need the assistance. She would very much like to stay in the east end if possible so to be near her friends. Can anyone suggest some places we could visit in highland park or east end? And if there are not any so local feel free to suggest some in other parts of Pittsburgh. Ideally it would be a place where she could feel like she was just living in an apartment but have access to some amenities like meals, social things and shuttle services. Any thoughts on this huge subject are welcome and appreciated, Best Debbie
