Hello again! This week, the topic for From Planning to Canning is insect identification and control. You will learn to recognize some of our area's most common insect pests, as well as how to identify others you may come across. Once you've learned to identify them, you can deal with them appropriately. We will discuss natural insect control that is easy on your time, your back, and your wallet. The class will also include recipes for pesticides that you can make yourself. These recipes will utilize simple natural and/or organic items most likely already found around your home. Copies of these recipes, as well as other relevant info, will be emailed to you at the end of class. As always, class is $15 with a sliding scale available for those in need. I can take payments via venmo, PayPal, credit card, check or cash. I know that everything is kind of crazy right now, and more people are feeling the pinch, so please don't be afraid to ask for a reduced rate (or no cost) if you truly need it. Classes are held via Zoom at two different times every Wednesday. The morning session runs from 9:30 to 11:30 am, and the evening session runs from 6:30 to 8:30 pm My zoom ID is 759-427-7976. No password necessary. "Walk-ins" welcome! If you have any questions, please call or text. (I'm not nearly as reliable on email.) Be well, be safe, and be green! Rachel 412-251-9759
