[Highland Park] PULSEations
Piggy-backing on Alicia's previous message about PULSE and the upcoming event at the Union Project: I am one of 18 or so PULSE alumni who live within a half-mile radius of the PULSE house (located on Stanton between Portland and Mellon). The program has attracted young people to Pittsburgh and consequently built a community of people who are committed to this city and working in many fields. Greetings Highland Park!
As a participant in the Pittsburgh Urban Leadership Service Experience (PULSE) for the 2010-11 year, I would like to cordially extend an invitation to all to attend our annual celebration and fundraiser, PULSEations, which will be held Friday, April 15, 2011 from 6:30pm to 9pm in the Union Project (801 N Negley Ave). PULSE brought me to not only the wonderful city of Pittsburgh, but also to this wonderful neighborhood, where I have been able to spend the past seven months living and serving. I have really enjoyed my time here, meeting people through Knitters and Crocheters, events at the UP and tree plantings, including the very successful planting this past Saturday. Thank you for being such a fun and welcoming community! I'm very excited to experience more as my PULSE year winds down, and would love to share celebrating all PULSE has accomplished in its 16 years with all of you!
