Core services include: ACCESS Transportation, Intellectual Disabilities/Developmental Disabilities, Community Assistance and Refugee Resettlement, In-Home Support Services, Home Health Care, Senior Centers, Meals on Wheels, Nursing Home Transition and Change in Condition. The companies share common governance and a single mission: ‘To help “at risk” individuals and their families achieve and/or maintain the maximum level of independence they can, with the highest quality of life, in a results oriented, cost effective manner that respects the dignity and worth of those we seek to serve.” Refugee Resettlement: Each year families and individuals from all parts of the world, who have fled their homes in fear of persecution, call Pittsburgh their home. As the largest resettlement program in Pittsburgh, CARR welcomes and assists these refugees as they arrive and resettle in our city. With the support of the U.S. Department of State’s Reception and Placement (R&P) Program and the United State Committee for Refugees and Immigrants (USCRI) we provide newly arrived refugees with the basic services and support they need to rebuild their lives.
