ONE MORE THING FOR THIS WEEK... When I sent out the weekly reminder of items on the the Community Calendar last evening, I forgot one: SATURDAY Gardening/Clean-Up at Union Project As usual, visit the Highland Park web site for details: <http://www.highlandparkpa.com/calendar/> UPCOMING ELECTION The primary election is now just 2 weeks away. Be sure to vote on Tuesday, May 20 for your representatives in two important local offices: City Council and School Board. East End Neighborhood Forum is holding two school board candidate forums, one this Wednesday at Morningside Elementary School, and one next Wednesday at Friendship Elementary School. Please try to go to at least one of these so you can learn more about the candidates. Highland Park's own Patrick Dowd is running against incumbent Darlene Harris. To learn more about the candidates for City Council (including Highland Park's own Mitch Kates) and School Board, visit the Highland Park web site: <http://www.highlandparkpa.com/20030520-election.htm> The Trib did an article on Saturday about some familiar names on the ballot... Check it out to be sure you know who you're voting for! <http://www.pittsburghlive.com/x/search/s_132546.html> Please cast your vote on election day!
