5 Days – March 29 – April 2, 1-2:30pm Each Day (Ages 8-12) This Virtual Spring Break Camp will introduce your child to various ceramic hand-building techniques to create functional and sculptural pieces. Projects include treasure boxes, mugs, wind chimes, and more! Guided by a Union Project teaching artist, campers will explore texture, pattern, and surface decoration to create unique ceramic pieces and expand their artistic skills. Each camper will receive a clay kit with the tools and materials needed to work in clay throughout the week. Campers will be asked to supply a few simple items from home (fork, water dish, etc.). The camp will include 1.5 hours of daily virtual instruction via Zoom, with some projects extending to off-screen time. At the end of the week, return your camper’s creations to Union Project to be dried, fired, and dipped in a clear coat of glaze. Learn more about our Ceramics Classes.
