@ St. Andrew's, 5801 Hampton Street, Highland Park, Pittsburgh On the calendar of the Church Year the 18th of October is observed as the Feast Day of St. Luke, Evangelist and Physician. It is a also by tradition a time to remember in prayer and with thanksgiving all those who (active or retired) have been called to work in the wide range of ministries and professions of health care . This coming Sunday, the 18th, our regular "Third Sunday Afternoon, 4:30 p.m. " service of Choral Evensong at St. Andrew's will commemorate St. Luke, and our Guest Preacher for the service is the Rev. Dan Hall, M.D. Dan, Episcopal Priest in Residence at the First Lutheran Church of Pittsburgh, is "also" a surgeon with practice in the UPMC and VA Hospitals here in Pittsburgh. I extend this as a word of invitation especially to those in our wider parish and neighborhood who are or have been involved in any and all healthcare professions. You will be in our thoughts and prayers with thanksgiving--and it would be very nice indeed if you were able to attend. Bruce Robison
