Last week there was a TV news story about a string of burglaries across the East End including Highland Park. The general areas in Highland Park which were hit were: Highview Portland and Janero Wellesley Ave and Mellon Hampton and Sheridan Winterton Jackson toward the park Beatty and Jackson (business) There's not a lot of information available other than these locations. (Thanks to Jan Stayianos for this information.) But since we don't know whether the culprit has been apprehended, it seems that more than the usual precaution is in order. There is a public safety meeting on Wednesday at 7:00 pm in case anyone is interested in perhaps finding out more about this particular crime spree. These meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month at the Zone 5 Police Station on Penn Circle East (Euclid) and are open to the public. That's all I know... Rudy
