Illegal Fireworks at Lake Carnegie
I called Zone 5 and was told it is legal anywhere in the city limits- I think not. Sent from my iPhone
I have received a few responses to my email. Both refer to Pa State Fireworks Regulations. These include below: Q: What are the restrictions on where they can be used? - *They cannot be ignited or discharged on a public or private property without express permission of the property owner.* - They cannot be discharged from or within a motor vehicle or building. - They cannot be discharged toward a motor vehicle or building. - They cannot be discharged within 150 feet of an occupied structure, whether or not a person is actually present. - They cannot be discharged while the person is under the influence of alcohol, a controlled substance, or another drug. *Also, it is recommended that you check with your local municipality, as you may also be subject to applicable local ordinances* I do not think that anyone would be given *express permission* *to ignite or discharge *fireworks after dark at Lake Carnegie in Highland Park. I will be making some phone calls on Monday. Any complaints or comments to 311 would be appreciated. Thanks, Jill Weiss On Sat, Jun 20, 2020 at 10:05 AM Jill Weiss <jmweiss9@gmail.com> wrote:
