Our vacuum stopped doing the job. I recently cleaned out the filter which leads me to suspect that the problem lies in the belt. Free to anyone who wants to tinker with it. It worked fine before - not super powerful so not ideal for a house with pets, but could suffice under normal conditions. I just hate to throw it away. Heather
