No signs of forced entry. (54994) *3/26/19 Robbery - 1300 block Heart Court, 2:28 AM.* A 53 year-old female victim reported that during the custody exchange of a child, the male suspect, *Ta Quon Tyreqq Peters, 19, of Beechview,* grabbed her cellphone out of her hand and smashed it on the ground. Officers will be obtaining an arrest warrant for Peters. (55214) *3/26/19 Aggravated Assault - Robinson Boulevard & Wilner Drive, 6:50 PM. *A 20 year-old delivery driver reported that someone inside a black Volvo SUV with New York license plates fired several rounds at him at the intersection of Robinson Boulevard & Wilner Drive. Bullet holes were found in the victim's car and four shell casings were recovered from the street. There were no injuries reported. (55606) *3/27/19 Robbery - N. Homewood Avenue & Frankstown Avenue. *Victim reported that while she was at the intersection of N. Homewood Avenue & Frankstown Avenue, she was pushed to the ground and held down by three black males and one black females (no other descriptions given). The victim's wallet was stolen in the robbery. The suspects then fled the area. (55966) *3/27/19 Theft from Vehicle - 2000 block Fairlawn Avenue.* Victim reported that he left his vehicle unlocked overnight and when he returned in the morning, a Windows laptop computer valued at $500.00 was missing. (56177) *3/27/19 Burglary - 8600 block Bricelyn Street. *Victim reported that while he was away, his ex-girlfriend entered his apartment and stole his vehicle keys. Victim reported that he later received a text message from his ex-girlfriend, *Billie M. Clark, 47, of Highland Park, *demanding $300.00 for the return of his van. The victim also had a PFA in place against Clark at the time of this incident. Officers filed for an arrest warrant for Clark. (56329) *3/27/19 Burglary - 1000 block Brushton Avenue. *Victim reported that sometime in the last 24 hours, someone entered her apartment and stole a Sony Playstation. There were no signs of forced entry. (56865) *3/29/19 Theft from Vehicle - Hill Street & Pitt Street, 6:11 PM.* Victim returned to the Port Authority Park & Ride lot after work to find her front passenger window shattered and her vehicle ransacked. Nothing appeared to be missing. (57589) *3/30/19 Homicide (Shooting) - 800 block N. Murtland Street, 12:52 AM. *Officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert and arrived to find a 27 year-old male victim with a gunshot wound to his abdomen. The victim was rushed to the hospital but later died from his wounds. The Violent Crime Unit (VCU) is investigating. (57828) *3/31/19 Shots Fired (Domestic) - 600 block N. Murtland Street, 4:08 PM.* Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 600 block of N. Murtland Street for a father/son domestic. While in route, a ShotSpotter alert came in for that same location, indicating (1) shot had just been fired. When officers arrived at the scene, they encountered *Brandon L. Randall, 23,* in front of the residence. Officers ordered to Randall to show his hands, but he refused and instead walked away from officers. Officers followed Randall who took off on foot. As they were pursuing Randall, he pulled a firearm from his waistband and discarded it. Officers were eventually able to catch-up to to Randall and took him into custody. They were also able to recover the .45 caliber Hi Point pistol that Randall discarded while fleeing. Officers later learned that Randall was at home with his 55 year-old father when his father asked him to leave the residence due to his level of intoxication and aggressive behavior. While outside, Randall pulled a pistol from his waistband and fired a shot in the air just before officers arrived at the scene. Randall does not have a license to carry a concealed firearm and is further prohibited from possessing firearms based upon his criminal history. (58856) *Larimer / Lincoln-Lemington* *3/26/19 Aggravated Assault / Witness Intimidation - 500 block Lowell Street, 12:20 AM.* Officers responded to a residence for a domestic violence call. The 56 year-old female victim reported that her boyfriend, *Wayne G. Smith, 57, of Point Breeze,* came to her house and demanded that she drop the charges for another case. Smith then went to the kitchen, got a knife, approached the victim, and put her in a choke hold. Smith then fled the area after a neighbor came to help the victim. Officers located and arrested Smith at his residence a short time later. He was charged with Aggravated Assault and Intimidation of a Witness. (55197) *Bloomfield / Garfield / Friendship* *3/25/19 Robbery - Baum Boulevard & Liberty Avenue, 4:00 PM. *A 27 year-old male victim reported that his vehicle was hit from behind by another car at the intersection of Baum Blvd & Liberty Ave. When the other driver refused to give his information, the victim pulled out his cellphone and began filming. The other driver (suspect) knocked the phone from the victim's hand, then picked up the phone and refused to give it back. The suspect then took $200.00 out of the victim's pocket and walked back to his car. When the victim followed the suspect back to his car, a passenger in that vehicle displayed a handgun. The suspects then fled in their gray Nissan SUV. The driver is described as black male, 40-45 years-old, stocky build, 5'7," 200 pounds, wearing a white shirt and blue jeans. The passenger is described as a black male, 40-45 years-old, 5'10" tall. (55130) *3/26/19 Theft from Vehicle - 5400 block Penn Avenue.* Victim reported that the front passenger window of her 2017 Jeep Cherokee was shattered. Two purses, an Apple Mac Book, and iPad, and a business credit card machine were taken. (55721) *3/27/19 Overdose - 500 block Edmond Street, 8:25 PM.* A 51 year-old female overdosed on heroin at this location. She was revived by a family member who found her and administered Narcan. She was taken to a local hospital. (56321) *3/30/19 Burglary - 201 S. Graham Street (Pittsburgh Montessouri School), 6:15 PM. *A neighbor called to report juveniles exiting the school at 6:15 PM. It should be noted that the school is closed at this time. Officers discovered an open window and some potted plants that were broken by the window. School staff responded to the scene and determined that (3) iPads, (2) pair of headphones, and a lantern were stolen. (58289) *3/30/19 Overdose - 300 block State Way. *Officers responded for a heroin overdose and arrived to find paramedics treating a 38 year-old male. Two doses of Narcan were administered and the male was revived. The male was taken to West Penn Hospital for further treatment. (58293) *East Liberty / Highland Park* *3/26/19 Burglary - Moga Street.* Officers responded to a house on Moga Street for a burglar alarm activation. Officers observed a rear basement door open and searched the house, which was clear of any suspects. Victim responded to the house and reported a Mac Book Pro and a pair of Air Jordan's missing. (55336) *3/28/19 Theft from Vehicle - 5500 block Hays Street.* Victim reported that an unknown individual entered her car and stole $10.00 and some candy. No forced entry noted. (56616) *3/28/19 Simple Assault - N. Beatty Street & Snively Way, 7:50 PM.* A 25 year-old male victim reported that he was talking to his girlfriend on his cellphone while walking home from his office in East Liberty. As the victim approached the intersection of N. Beatty Street & Snively Way, an unknown male approached the victim and began punching him in the face while using the term "f--got." After the attack, the suspect fled on foot. The victim sustained facial injuries. The victim indicated that he is not gay and has no idea why he was attacked or why the suspect used that term. Zone 5 detectives are working this case and are looking for the public to assist with any information they may have about this incident or the attacker, who was described as a black male, 5'6," 170 Lbs, wearing black shorts, a red hooded sweatshirt, and a black "do-rag." (56995) *3/29/19 Theft from Vehicle - 5900 block Station Street. *Victim had his car towed to a service station on 3/21/19. Shortly thereafter, he began receiving alerts on his phone that someone was trying to use his credit cards. The victim went to the service station and found his car unlocked and his credit cards missing. (57269) *3/29/19 Bank Robbery - 217 N. Highland Avenue (Key Bank), 9:10 AM. *Officers responded to a bank robbery-in-progress at the Key Bank in East Liberty. They arrived on scene and met with bank employees who stated that an unknown male entered the bank, pointed a gun at them, and demanded money. Bank employees handed over a bag of money and the suspect fled. Officers from Zones 4 and 5 worked together to locate the suspect's vehicle on a dead-end street in Point Breeze. The suspect fled into Frick Park where he was located by officers and arrested. He was identified as *Lamar Sewell, 38, of Swissvale.* (57308) *Morningside / Stanton Heights / Waterworks* *3/26/19 Burglary - 1100 block Oglethorpe Avenue. *Victim reported that an unknown suspect burglarized his father's home. Officers found a rear door unlocked and the home ransacked. A men's Bulova watch with diamonds, a Fitbit, and a leather bracelet with a silver charm were all stolen. (55454) *3/26/19 Burglary - 1700 block El Paso Street. *Victim reported that an unknown suspect forced open a side basement door and ransacked her home. A pair of gold wedding earrings were stolen. (96969) *3/28/19 Burglary - 4500 block Coleridge Street. *Victim reported that her basement door was kicked in and her 2nd floor bedroom was ransacked. Multiple pieces of jewelry and a check book were stolen. (56802) Crimes listed in the above report include: Homicide, Aggravated Assault, Robbery, Burglary, Arson, Stolen Cars, Thefts from Vehicle, and Overdoses. *We do not list information for car accidents, retail theft, harassment, minor assaults, etc. * *This Week's Notable Arrests* *3/26/19 2:53 PM Home Depot - 400 N. Highland Avenue Arrestee: Pierre Jesse McCoy, 28, of Stanton Heights Summary: *Officers Notbohm and Patton were on patrol in East Liberty. As they passed through the parking lot of the Home Depot, they were flagged-down by a Loss Prevention officer who pointed to a man (McCoy) running down the street and told the officers that he just stole a DeWalt power drill. The officers pursued McCoy, ordering him to stop. McCoy continued to flee on foot. Officers converged on him and were eventually able to get him into custody after a brief struggle. McCoy denied any injury from the struggle and refused a medical evaluation. He was taken to the Allegheny County Jail.
