My children and I found a dog in the 1300 block of King Avenue (the block across from the King Estate mansion) this afternoon (Thursday) around 5 p.m. It looks to be at least part collie, with tan, red, dark brown and white coloring. Definitely an older dog. I do not think that it can see well, and it has what appears to be a large tumor on its right front leg. Very friendly but slow moving. I hate to call Animal Control just yet because of the expense to the owner, but my daughter is highly allergic to dogs, and I can't keep it in my home overnight.
