Gardening class tonight: Putting Your Garden to Bed
Hello neighbors!!! We are looking at the final two gardening classes of the year! TONIGHT (Wednesday, October 11) will be about the things that are necessary to ensure the health of your garden over the winter, the things that are helpful but not critical, and tips to make it all EASIER and CHEAPER (including seed-saving and storage)! We'll cover veggies, fruits, herbs, perennials, and bulbs in your garden, as well as address questions you may have about shrubs, trees, etc. Bring your questions, your neighbors, your seeds, your catalogs... Whatever you want to talk about! I'm gonna bring some home-grown celery and a little bit of home-canned salsa to share! Class is held in Highland Park and is $10/person, but no cost for those on a limited income. 6:30-8:30 pm Please call or text for location information. Rachel 412-251-9759 P.S. Next week's class will be about things you can do over the non-green months of winter to boost your spirits, help you prepare for a GREAT 2018 season, and get a little green in your home.
