Thank you for all of your responses I called 311 and they said they will only come out if the animal is sick or looks sick( stumbling etc) or dead, They claim that it is not unusual to see a raccoon in the daytime, but that still does not make me feel better  , not much help. It mus be all of the good left overs I throw away! Thank you LaVerne
