While she was gone, unknown suspect(s) entered her residence and stole baby clothes. Victim believes the individuals that she was involved in an altercation with may have found her keys and entered her apartment while she was gone. (37811) *2/27/19 Aggravated Assault (Domestic) - 7500 block Susquehanna Street, 9:50 AM. *Officers responded to a report of a violent domestic and arrived to find a 23 year-old male victim who stated that he was involved in an argument with his ex-girlfriend when she became violent. The victim indicated that his ex, *Chanell M. Hayden, 21, *and her friend, *Kadedra Johnson, 24,* attacked him, attempted to stab him with a pair of scissors, and choked him. After the attack, the victim observed Hayden use the scissors to scratch his rental car. The suspects fled the scene before officers arrived. Arrest warrants will be obtained for both Hayden and Johnson. (38191) *3/1/19 Aggravated Assault (Shooting) - 7700 block Frankstown Avenue, 12:43 AM. *Officers responded to a ShotSpotter notification in front of Denise & Earl's Bar. ShotSpotter indicated that (9) rounds had been fired. As officers were responding to the scene, additional ShotSpotter alerts came in. Upon arrival, officers learned that a fight broke out inside the bar and the parties were removed. The shooting occurred outside of the bar and all parties fled before officers arrived. A short time later, officers learned that a vehicle containing a 23 year-old male with gunshot wounds was headed to UPMC Shadyside Hospital. The male arrived, his wounds were bandaged, and he was quickly transferred to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital where he was eventually stabilized. Detectives are investigating. (39376) *3/1/19 Aggravated Assault (Domestic) - 1100 block N. Murtland Street, 2:36 AM.* Officers responded to a report of a domestic with an open line where the dispatcher could hear yelling in the background. While enroute to the scene, officers learned that the male half left the house. Lt. Fosnaught was responding to assist his officers and came across a male matching the description of one of the parties. The male was stopped and identified as *Herman Barlow, 48, of Homewood.* Further investigation revealed that Barlow was, in fact, the other half of the domestic, and the 41 year-old female victim did sustain injuries. The victim told officers that Barlow punched her repeatedly in the face and she nearly lost consciousness. Barlow was placed into custody without incident. (39421) *3/3/19 Stolen Vehicle - Frankstown Avenue & Hale Street.* Victim reported that his 2006 white Dodge Charger (PA plate KSJ-6102) was stolen from the intersection. Victim reported that he parked his vehicle there and went out for the night with friends. When he returned, the car was gone. The vehicle has 20" black rims. (41201) *Larimer / Lincoln-Lemington* *2/27/19 Stolen Vehicle - 6200 block Carver Street, 7:15 AM. *Victim reported that she was about to pull away from her residence when she realized that she forgot her purse inside. The victim left her 2018 gray Hyundai Santa Fe (PA plate KYF-9725) running while she ran back into the house. When she came back outside moments later, the car was gone. (38126) *3/2/19 Theft from Vehicle - 1500 block Westmoreland Street, 7:00 AM. *Victim awoke to loud banging outside. He went to his window and saw a neighbor's vehicle with a shattered window and an unknown male walking down the driveway, attempting to hide a purse under his sweatshirt. The suspect is a black male, 18-25 years old, 5'5" tall, 160 Lbs, thin build, camouflage hoodie and a black hat. The suspect fled when he noticed the witness. The victim was located and confirmed that her purse was stolen from her vehicle. (40243) *Bloomfield / Garfield / Friendship* *2/24/19 Aggravated Assault - 5300 block Kincaid Street, 1:00 PM. *A 28 year-old victim reported that his roommate, *Aaron Jeffrey Griffith, 28, of Garfield,* struck him in the face with a glass vase following a verbal argument. The victim suffered a broken nose. A warrant was issued and Griffith was arrested two days later at his residence. (36290) *East Liberty / Highland Park* *3/2/19 Robbery - 5600 block Stanton Avenue, 6:30 PM.* A 59 year-old male victim told officers that he answered a knock at his door to find two unknown men dressed in all black, wearing black ski masks. The men pushed the victim inside and demanded "all of the drugs." The victim saw that one male was brandishing a silver handgun. He told the men that he did not know what drugs they were talking about. The men stole cash then fled in a silver or gray Honda sedan. The victim was not seriously injured. The victim did not report this crime until the following day. (4099) *Morningside / Stanton Heights / Waterworks* *2/24/19 Burglary (Domestic) - 6900 block Greenwood Street, 9:42 AM.* Officers responded to PFA violation in-progress and arrived to find a 38 year-old female victim who indicated that she was held against her will inside her residence by her ex-boyfriend. The suspect, *Johnny Graham, 47, of Stanton Heights,* fled the scene before police arrived. The victim explained that she arrived home around 8:30 AM to find her home ransacked. When she went upstairs, she was confronted by Graham, who would not allow her to leave the bedroom. Graham would not allow the victim to leave or use the phone for approximately one hour. When Graham was distracted, the victim fled the residence and called 911. Officers will obtain for a warrant for the PFA violation and a separate warrant for the new criminal charges. (36099) Crimes listed in the above report include: Homicide, Aggravated Assault, Robbery, Burglary, Arson, Stolen Cars, Thefts from Vehicle, and Overdoses. *We do not list information for car accidents, retail theft, harassment, minor assaults, etc. * *This Week's Notable Arrests* *2/28/19 1:15 PM 5700 block Jackson Street Arrestee: Duane Jackson, 34 Summary: *Duane Jackson was wanted on several outstanding warrants where he was charged with Endangering Welfare of Children, Fleeing & Eluding, Reckless Driving, and other offenses. On 2/28/19, members of the Western Pennsylvania US Marshall's Fugitive Task Force located Jackson at a residence in Highland Park and safely took him into custody. (18-256338) *2/28/19 3:45 PM Coal Street & Grand Avenue (Wilkinsburg) Arrestee: Troy D. Smith, 22, of Homewood Summary:* Zone 5 planclothes officers were patrolling Homewood when they conducted a traffic stop on a burgundy Pontiac for violations of the Motor Vehicle Code. During the stop, officers found a firearm, a large quantity of cash, drug packaging materials, and a vacuum sealed bag of marijuana in the vehicle. Smith did not have a license to carry a firearm and was arrested.
