So my husband went to Tractor supply and got all excited and bought 6 bantam chicks, unfortunately the bin that he got them out of was mislabeled and they are silkie bantams. Up here on the farm chickens need to be able to fly and avoid predators and silkie banties are great pets but not necessarily the most survival-oriented farm bird. The six are a straight run, so I don't know if they are male or female. I can bring them to Pittsburgh next Wednesday or you can come and visit our farm to pick them up.
