Hello, The Allderdice High School rowing team (Dragons) is sponsoring a fun fitness event for all ages on November 16th. It will be held at PittsburghFit located at 210 Thomas Street, not far from the East End Food Coop. The event costs $25 to enter, you can register at PittsburghFit.com/crew. A flyer is attached. Invite your family, your friends, your gym buddies, and get a a fun group workout and a cool T-shirt. Funds raised will support diversity rowing scholarships. The rowing club is not financially supported by the school district and it costs more than $2,000 a year to support one rower. That is a significant barrier to entry for many student families. OAR, the Organization of Allderdice Rowing, is a non-profit organization and we are also seeking personal and business sponsors for the event and directly to fund scholarships.
