Mark Calendars Now! Saturday evening, June 2, 2007 7 p.m. The St. Andrew's "Focus on Jesus" series ventures once more into the cinematic universe this Saturday, June 2. Based on the famous play by Jean Anouilh, Peter Glenville's 1964 film *Becket* features Richard Burton, Peter Otoole, and an exceptional cast, in a production that earned 12 Academy Award nominations. The story: the classic struggle between Church and Monarchy. The lifelong friendship of Henry II and the Archbishop of Canterbury, Thomas Becket, is tested and ends in tragedy. A brief discussion on the connections between personal faith and political life will follow the film on Saturday evening and then be continued during the 10 a.m. "Coffee and Conversation" gathering on Sunday morning, June 3. All are welcome. We are encouraged to bring refreshments to share.
