Hello all, I'm Beka Gulotta, a PhD student at Carnegie Mellon's Human-Computer Interaction Institute. I'm writing to recruit for my final research study as a PhD student (I'll be graduating this summer!) I've recruited for several studies on this list-serv and I've really enjoyed the conversations I've had with people on here. Like my previous studies, this study focuses on how digital systems (like social networks and email accounts) shape how people think about what they leave behind after they pass away. This study will take place over the course of several weeks; we'll ask you to spend a few minutes once a week using a website to reflect on some information from your past. In addition to using the website, there are four short in-person interviews where we talk about your experience using the website and also about your experiences using sites like Facebook. Payment is $80 distributed over the course of the study ($20 after the first interview, $10 after the 2nd interview, $15 after the 3rd interview, and $35 after the 4th and final interview). Interviews can take place on campus at CMU or in your home, whichever is more convenient. The whole process is pretty flexible (including scheduling), so don't worry if you've got a trip planned or will be out of town for a bit. To be eligible, you must be 18 or over, have a computer (or tablet) at home, have internet access at home, and have a Facebook account. If you're interested participating or in learning more about the study, please get in touch - I'd be happy to answer any questions and I can send more information about the study. More info about my work in general is available on my personal website - http://rebeccagulotta.com/ and on my official CMU webpage https://www.hcii.cmu.edu/people/rebecca-gulotta - Rebecca ("Beka") Gulotta
