[PennDOT left-cmyk] Traffic Advisory Oct. 28, 2014 Route 8 Butler Street Sign Installation begins Wednesday Night in Pittsburgh Pittsburgh, PA - PennDOT District 11 is announcing overnight sign installation work on Butler Street (Route 8) in the City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, will occur Wednesday-Friday nights, Oct. 29-30, weather permitting. The right hand lanes in each direction will be closed intermittently on Butler Street between the Highland Park Bridge and Baker Street from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. each night. Lane closures will not occur in both directions simultaneously. Crews will conduct sign installation work. The work is part of the Route 8 Heths Run Bridge replacement project. The existing bridge built in 1913-14 has been replaced with a new structure. Additionally, the project includes reconstruction of 870 feet of Butler Street, improvements on One Wild Place, drainage, and sidewalk and signal upgrades. Motorists are advised to use caution and expect possible delays.
