Please join me and fellow Highland Park neighbor Jessica Pedersen for a walk through the park this Wednesday evening from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm. This free walk, sponsored by the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy, will take us on about 1.3 miles of trails and paths in the park. Along the way, we'll talk about what's going on in the park, including the beautiful restoration of the fountain area at the Highland Avenue entrance of the park, and the challenges of managing non-native, invasive plant species in the park. We'll meet near the fountain at 6:30 pm--please be a couple of minutes early if possible. Dress appropriately for a walk in the "woods"--there will be mud, thorns, and uneven paths. The walks in Highland Park will occur on the first Wednesday of each month from now until October. There are walks scheduled for the other three Pittsburgh parks on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Wednesdays of the month too. Rudy
