Parklet, City Controller, Park entrance - Recap of October HPCC Community Meetings

If you missed it, there's a juicy recap below. *Mark your calendars now for next month's meeting - Thursday November 20th, 7pm @ St. Andrews' basement meeting hall, 5801 Hampton St.* That will be the *last *meeting for 2025 (there is no meeting in December) and the last *in-person* meeting until next spring. *January-April 2026 meetings will take place over Zoom.* *Question: *We're thinking of offering childcare at the November meeting. HPCC Secretary *October 16, 2025 Meeting Recap* *Upcoming Events* - *Halloween Parade - *Saturday October 25th, 10:30am-12pm @ Highland Park Fountain. Come in costume for treats and parade! - *Vintage Food Drive - *Help HPCC provide Thanksgiving meals for 150 local seniors. Drop off donations at 1128 Winterton from Nov. 1 to November 15th. Items needed include: cranberry sauce, stuffing mix, cornbread mix, turkey gravy, and yams. Giant Eagle gift cards can also be donated and we'll do the shopping! - *Lake Carnegie Cleanup: *Our local park lake and fishing spot is getting some attention. Two cleanup days are scheduled for the next two Saturdays and volunteers are needed to help out! Key components include an online survey where we'd like to see at least 330 respondents (10% of HP neighbors) provide input, and an interactive mapping activity planned for Light Up Night on Saturday Dec. 6th.
