It is crucial that you report any of these attempts. It matters. An update on our burglary this summer: The two burglars were caught, identified (by two witnesses), and are now awaiting trial. Thanks to observant public works workers and the incredibly diligent police officers & detectives! While I am bummed that the small amount of jewelry they did manage to get from us still has not turned up, it's nice to know this pair at least is off the streets. Report the crimes. The police linked our burglary with others around Pittsburgh and have built their case on the reports - our burglars will be going to prison. since there seems to be several e-mails regarding car break-in's; home break-in's; bike thefts, etc., - be them successful or attempts - PLEASE REPORT THEM TO THE POLICE!!

They will patrol the areas more often.

Also, maybe we all can be a little more attentive to look out for suspicious activity/people in our neighborhoods - just a suggestion!
