Neighbors, While out running on Highland Avenue tonight, my boyfriend found a cat who had been hit by a car (at the intersection of Highland Avenue and Callowhill Street). The cat was already dead when he found him; we're hoping that he died on impact and did not suffer. He is dark grey with a grey nose; he looks to be a younger cat with well groomed fur, about 8 lbs. (I am not sure about gender... I am just guessing). We didn't want to leave him in the road, so have wrapped him in a blanket and brought him home in a box. We are planning on taking him to Greater Pittsburgh Animal Rescue for cremation in the morning. If he is your cat, or if you know someone who is missing their cat, please email me as soon as possible. Given his healthy appearance, I am assuming that he is someone's pet.
