[Highland Park] Window Shades & Blinds
Hi Neighbors, I sell Hunter Douglas Shades and Blinds through Custom Decorators and wanted to let you know of some promotions that are currently running. Custom Decorators is offering a free Literise (cordless) upgrade on all honeycomb shades. Orders for this promotion must be placed by November 17th. Honeycomb shades are great for windows that lack energy efficiency. Another promotion offers mail in rebates for various products including: Silhouette Window Shading http://www.hunterdouglas.com/hdg_product_detail.jsp?id=1 Vignette Modern Roman Shades http://www.hunterdouglas.com/hdg_product_detail.jsp?id=3 Duette Architella Honeycomb Shades http://www.hunterdouglas.com/hdg_product_detail.jsp?id=6 Purchases must be made by December 15th to qualify for the mail-in rebates. If you are a Costco member, the purchase can be processed through Costco allowing Executive Members to apply the purchase to their 2% back at the end of the year. Prices are the same whether or not you have a Costco membership. If you are interested, I can bring samples to your home and installation can be included on the shade order eliminating the need to find an installer on your own and making a separate payment. I can be reached on my cell phone at 412-260-2255 or you can email me. Thank you, Christy Fitzpatrick
Just a note to let the list know that there was a small group of boys hanging out suspiciously this afternoon (4ish) at the corner of Jackson and Sherdian- I had looked away, and then back as I saw one of the boys (ages 12-15?) run up on our neighbors porch, and then right off again, but I wasn't able to see if they took anything since they then all ran down Collins (I haven't seen our neighbors yet to let them know). Then, however, they came back, and lingered suspiciously between two houses across the street from us, and then ducked in between the houses out of my sight- two of the boys rounded the corner and headed up Sheridan. I called 911 to let them know, and about 10 minutes later the police arrived, and I told them what I had seen. I don't know anything more. I hope my mistrust is misguided, but I still felt like their behavior was odd enough to warrant calling for a police car to cruise the neighborhood. I did see someone (a neighbor?) who had pulled over and was talking to them- (asking them about their families, I think) before I saw them go onto the neighbors porch, after the car drove away. So, point being, there may be some monkey business happening during the day (afterschool) as well. Liz Jackson Street
