Hello again neighbors! As we get ready for the Community Festival coming up on May 5 (on Bryant St) I am now preparing the sign up list for all of the great children's activities for that day and I NEED YOUR HELP! If we are going to be able to offer these great opportunities (and more) for the Festival then we need individuals/groups of volunteers to sign up for 1 hour (or more) of : 1. supervising the craft area (a fun but super easy beading craft!) 2. running games (We have up to five games ready and waiting but can only offer what we have volunteers to cover!) 3. helping with a great new idea for us -- A BOOK GIVEAWAY! (Kids can do an age appropriate puzzle and receive a book as a reward for their effort!) ...AND MORE IF WE HAVE HELP TO DO IT! :) Remember: you don't need to have young children to help with children's events. Find a friend or neighbor and volunteer together for an hour and then stay to enjoy some great food and music at the festival. Have fun with it! (This kind of volunteering is a great opportunity for parent/child together and youth volunteering (documentation for community service hours available).) Thanks in advance, everyone!
